Here we are shortly after the 11 hour trip began. Notice nothing has been forgotten. All kids have their blankets and their pillows. Snacks, toys, books, movies. You name it, we probably had it! We even managed to find room for the dog and the cat!
This is Flagstaff. We got here at 8:00 am and it was -4 degrees! This was also the first snow we had seen in a year, which was exciting for the kids. Well, except for that because they knew there would be snow at Grandma's house, the instinctively thought we had made our destination! Sorry kids, 9 more hours to go!
Carson enjoying a movie and Max enjoying the scenery. I know you must all be thinking that we are crazy for bringing our pets along with us. Honestly they are better travelers than any of the kids! With having just a little kitten, with claws still, I could only imagine what my leather couch would look like if we left him for a week!
Here are the two newest McFaddens, Sophie and Brynlee. So sweet!
My mom's birthday is on New Year's Day. We always get together and have her favorite, Grandma Davis' German chocolate cake.
One of the highlights of the trip was watching Utah win the Sugar bowl! We all had a great time watching such a fun game!
My mom got so nervous during the game (as always!) She had to leave the room! Connor and Emma had fun helping Grandma with a puzzle.

We had a great time and it is always worth the 11 or so hours we spend in the car. Well, I don't always think it is worth it until we are done driving! It isn't always easy to pack the whole house up (animals included) and drive all day, but we always come back with fun memories, so it makes it all worth it!

We were glad you could come home. It's always fun to see you guys. And I hear Kelly's back for a few days. Let us know how that goes.
It's nice to see your family but I'm not so happy with the Utes... sorry. I've gotta stick with my Cougs. GO BLUE!!
Okay so your family is the cutest ever! I love your moms intesity with the game situation (adorable). J-E-A-L-O-U-S...I know no one in Utah! ; )
At least you only have an 11 hour drive to your mom's house! For me to drive to my mom's it's 24 hrs of DRIVE time :(
4 kids and a dvd player...and audio books, and crayons, and well, you get it...
It's been forever since I've seen your family!
Tell 'em all I said Hi!
We've done trips like that before. Sounds like you had fun though! Cute pictures and post!
Your kids are so adorable. I am so glad that you had a good time.
how fun! I bet everyone loves having you come visit. I know we LOVE having my sister come and going to see her is a blast too!
Wish we could have seen you. I think we were heading home when you were on your way there. Sounds like you had a great time. That Sugar Bowl was pretty sweet!!! Go Utes! We're avid blue fans, but the Utes were terrific this year. We were cheering right along with the all the big red fans. Shoulda been number one!
How fun to share your trip to Utah and with all of the stuff you brought and even the dog and cat. You are really a wonderfully fun family. Love ya lots!!!!
Hi Megan, okay I've got a couple of questions. 1- Is Katelyns hair red? I've wondered in other posts but it looks really red in this one. So lucky!! 2- I'm counting the grandkids, do Josh & Rachel have 5 kids? or do one or more belong to Justin or Tyson? I thought Josh only had 3 kids when we left good ol Woodledge ward but I could be wrong. Time flies. Loved your posts!
That's great you got to come home for the holidays - even if it's a whirlwind! And your kids look like such troopers for 11 hours. Sometimes i think it's easier on them than it is us.
