I always looked forward to the day when I would get to see the excitement on my children's faces when Daddy would come home from work. Since Kelly works the swing shift and we are all snug in our beds when he comes home, I don't get to have this experience.
Last week Kelly had SWAT training during the day, so he got to be one of those dads that comes home at dinner time. I told the kids that he would be home any minute. This is them patiently waiting for his arrival!

Look at those cute little bums! We don't get to see that at our house much either, because our daddy is always home! There are parts of working away from home that I miss.
That is so sweet! Oh, how I'm suddenly wishing for a front window.
I admire that you are so good at keeping up on your blog. I send out our blog address in our Christmas cards & haven't done much on my site since. I'm sure our family & far away friends are bored enough not to return. :-)
I love pictures like that! My kids are the same way. Priceless. :)
So cute! I love it!
Megan, that has got to be the sweetest thing ever. I love when Daddy comes home too that's when everything is right in the world. I'm the one always taking the pictures, but if I weren't, I think I would get caught looking out the window too.
So cute! It makes me wish they were sitting there waiting for Tutter and Payton to come over.
By the way, I dont have your email address. How in the world have I survived without your email address. Will you email it to me at tifertoes@yahoo.com.
Mama Mia, here I go again!
that is the CUTEST thing! Abby is still at the phase of getting so excited when she hears daddy's truck pulling in to the drive way but the other girls have grown out of the anticipation. I love the picture!
Oh my goodness that is so cute! Having a Dad that works the night shift sucks. Madi just knows that her Daddy gets home in time to give her some breakfast. We do what we can with the time we get..
