Here are the boys waiting for their swimming lessons.
Later that day, we went to my cousins house in Scottsdale for a birthday party. We had such a good time. And yes, swimming was again the activity of choice!
Katelyn is proving to follow in the steps of her big brothers (as far as swimming goes!) She loves the water but I have found it to be more of a frustration than a joy to put her in the water! She doesn't want you to touch her or help her. She tries with all her might to wiggle right out of your arms. She also loves to jump off the side and her common request is "again, again!" Which usually means you stand at the side and let her jump until you can convince her to play on the steps!
On this particular occasion, she learned how to float on her belly. She would flap her arms a bit and calmly come up for air when she needed. I think it is great that she is so comfortable in the water, but a little less independent in the pool would be nice sometimes! I also love Kelly's face. It is like he his holding his breath for her!

Fun pictures! I love swimming pictures. It's so fun that Kate is learning to swim. I am so pleased at the progress my kids have made just because we go to the pool so much more often this year.
How fun! I would take the kids swimming more if it weren't so much work!
K so those swimming pictures are great and all but that picture of Katelyn at the end was fantastic! I laughed right out loud. SO CUTE!
if you are going to live in Arizona what better pastime to pick up than swimming! I think you have very intelligent children and hilarious mini megan at the end!
We need to get more pictures of you in the pool....and I wish you loved the ocean as much as swimming pools....Someday!
uhhh, no pictures of me in a suit! Nice try Kel! : )
I love the swimming pic's I"ll take any and all, the kids are growing up so fast. I can't believe Katelyn she reminds me of Lyenna because her brothers and sister were swimming I had to hold her back too. I decided to take a mom and me class so she could learn. She did'nt need me at all, but I felt better. Love ya
How fun! Your kids are so cute. I'm amazed how brave Katelyn is... going under water at her age.
