First and foremost, after a little more than 5 years in Phoenix, we packed up our home and our family and made the move back to Salt Lake. It all happened very quickly and came to a surprise to most people
After a course of events (which we still wonder why some happened the way they did,) we felt the time was right to move.
We have been here for 4 weeks now and things have been going well. Kelly is enjoying his new job and the kids are adjusting well. Connor's new school is year round, so I don't know how I feel about that yet. He is off track until just after Easter. He has made some new friends and going to a new school has been an easy adjustment for him.
Carson has enjoyed being here too. He asks EVERY day if his cousins can come play. So far we have been able to spend a lot of time with cousins, which has been fun for him. He also asks nearly everyday, when he gets to start Kindergarten.
Katelyn must have a little bit of her mother in her because she hasn't adjusted quite as easy. The first Sunday here, she cried because two of her best friends weren't in Nursery. She asked for Nate and Elsie, which made me start to cry because I wanted Tiffany and Christy! She has also asked a few times "when are we going home." I have to keep telling her that we are home, but she doesn't agree! Now for me.......I have really missed our friends in Phoenix. Living away from family made us really close to our friends, and sadly, we left some of the greatest people on earth! So, to any of you friends that are reading this now, just know that I miss you greatly and think of you often! As much as I miss our friends and the lovely winters of Phoenix, I am grateful to be here.
We are also looking forward to welcoming baby number 4 to our family. We only have a few short weeks left! I don't know if I am quite ready for the newborn schedule yet, but it will be exciting to have a new little one!
Well, that is my update on our life! Hopefully I can get around to posting some pictures soon.

It's hard to leave great people. I've done that, but they're not as far away for me. :)
We're happy to have you here and I will get out to visit you soon. I promise.
I hadn't realized that it had been so long since your last post. It's good to hear from you again. :)
Moving is always an adventure! I related so much to his post...that was how I felt when we moved from San Diego. Luckily you have family close by...I'm sure you're gonna love it!
As difficult as it is I'm sure your family is so relieved to have you home! Good luck with all the adjustments, weather included!
Crying...
Love your post and that is what life is. Life is constant change and I for one am glad to get you our of Phoenix and the dangers that are there especially for Kelly and the job he had. It is really an adventure to make adjustments but WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO HAVE YOU BACK HOME!!!!!!
we miss you! But...we are glad you are mostly adjusting and getting into the swing of things.
Thank you for sharing this. It is great you moved back, I am so sorry for your little girl. It has made my eyes full of tears. It makes my heart ache. I am sorry you miss your friends, some are like family. I hope you have a comfortable next few weeks and look forward to seeing baby pics. You are a sweetheart.
Somehow I missed this post- just reading it for the first time! Let me just say- SO SAD! We miss Carson everyday at preschool- the kids still talk about how they wish Carson was here. And then hanging up the sign on your Primary door that said Bro. & Sis. Zierse- my eyes would tear up- HATING NOT HAVING YOU HERE! I miss visiting with you at park day and bagels. Can't wait to see pictures of that new baby! I miss you and think of you often too!
