So, this is the safety picture you see on the seats of various rides. Carson and I were getting buckled up on the Matterhorn when he said to me, "mom, the rules are sitting, no dancing!" He said it so seriously that it gave me a good laugh. When the ride came to a stop, Kelly told Carson to hurry and undo his seat belt so he could dance. Carson unbuckled it and began a little dance.
We were lucky enough to have my mom join us. It was fun to have Grandma with us to enjoy the good times. It didn't hurt to have an extra set of hands to help out! Connor enjoyed being Grandma's partner!
Waiting at The Tower of Terror. This is not one of Connor's favorite rides, although Kelly manages to get him on it every time. He said that Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, except for the Tower of Terror.
Carson loved his map and had to have one at all times!
There are lots of things I love about Disneyland. Most of them have to do with food (go figure,) but because I do plenty of walking and pushing children in strollers for 3 full days, I feel entitled to a few goodies! Churros (or "churrios" as Connor calls them,) funnel cakes, pineapple whip, and that bakery by Splash Mountain are some of my favorites! Surprising as it is, food isn't everything, I also love the FASTPASS and the parent exchange (can't remember what it is called exactly, but if both parents want to ride, but one needs to stay behind with a younger child, you can swap places when the other one gets off. It is pretty convenient!)
But the things I love most of all, are seeing the excitement on the kids faces when you enter the park. Then the anticipation in their eyes as they eagerly tell you what they want to go on next.

Being together and creating lifelong memories, makes all the lines, sore feet, crowds, and late nights worth it!

Wow, that looked like a lot of fun. Makes me jealous, yet again. Why do you do this to me? Because you know, everything is all about me. Kidding! I am so glad you guys got to go and glad you had a good time. Just mad your dream vacation is not to Iowa.
BTW, what an amazing likeness Kelly has with Mr. Toad. Interesting!
So fun! I love disneyland! I bet it is so much fun to take your cute kids there. I'm glad to hear about the parent exchange. We planned a vacation before we had Ryan and weren't able to go and I was so bummed because the rest of our lives we wouldn't be able to enjoy rides that well. Now my wish has been granted! Although I think we have a few years before Ryan will enjoy it.
Again, you have the cutest kids! I'm glad you had a nice vacation!
What a fun trip! Glad you had such a good time. I know you don't love AZ...but isn't it fabulous to be so close do Disneyland??
I don't think our kids have played together since Tifany left, but everyday this week Ty will be pretend talking on the phone. Everytime I ask who he's talking to he responds, Connor & Carson. Playdates or not, I guess they are still good buds!
After we rode Monsters, Inc. together the boys were playing in the taxi in front of the ride when I told them that the sign meant "No Disco Dancing", but then I was worried they weren't going to follow the safety protocols. I'm glad they knew it was just a joke!:)
Yeah! I have been anxiously awaiting your post. I need the full scoop. Was the hotel nice? Did you find your passes OK? I saw you called on Saturday..sorry I missed you! It looks like you guys had a great time! Only 17 more days for us!
I'm so jealous right now. Looks like you guys had tons of fun. Were the tonsils all healed up by then?
Oh to be young again and feel the thrill of entering that beautiful park. Love the pictures!
Lots of love Grandma Hand
Thanks for letting me join in on your Disney vacation. I had the best time ever--when can we go again?
We just got back from Disneyland, we must have just missed you guys there. it is a fun time, Hannah freaked out that splash mountain didn't have seat belts. your kids are all so cute, I can't believe how big they have goten.
I'm glad you guys had fun! We should plan our next trip together. That would be crazy and fun.
Definitely the happiest place on earth! MaKell was obsessed with her map too (she still pulls it out and it's been a year since we've been). How nice to be so close, we'd probably go all the time if we lived that close.
