Get Well Soon....

Today was a big day for Carson. He had to have his tonsils removed. He was such a brave little man! He wasn't scared at all. The last couple of days have been spent gearing him up for this moment. We told him that he would be asleep and not feel anything. We kindly warned him that it would be sore for a few days and we reiterated that he would be able to eat ice cream and Popsicles for every meal! I think that part excited him.

Kelly was the lucky one who got to take him to the surgical center. I don't like things of that nature. Anyway, while he was gone Kate and I walked to a nearby party store for some balloons and a stuffed dog (or Sadie, as Katelyn calls it.)

Here he is resting on the couch trying to give me a smile. His request for when he got home was for some juice and to watch Star Wars.

Katelyn was being such a helper! She kept going up to Carson to give him hugs and kisses. She even brought him his juice and tried giving him a bottle of water. It was pretty cute!
Feel better soon Carson!

Oh the dreaded tonsils. Good job Carson you are so brave. I hated doing that but unfortunaly we have huge tonsils in this family. What is that about anyway?

Ohhhh..... He looks so sad and pathetic. It is no fun having the tonsils out. At least he has a nice mommy who buys him ice cream and popsicles and a very nice sister who takes such good care of him. The pictures are priceless. Much love from Grandma and Grandpa Roush

I hate having to think of any of my grandkids being uncomfortable & in pain. I'm just glad Carson has a nice mommy, daddy, brother & sister to take care of him. Knowing him, I'm sure he was very brave. Get well soon Carson so you can get back to playing soccer & go to Disneyland!
