Just The Girls!

Kate and Mommy took a girls trip this last weekend! We flew to Salt Lake for an Alumni Party for the dance studio I danced for. Shellie's School of Dance celebrated 40 years of operation. I started dance when I was 4 years old. After I graduated in 1998, she started a "Ladies Class," which I was fortunate to dance in until I moved to Phoenix, in 2004. I was a student at Shellie's School of Dance from 1984-2004. I only missed one Spring concert because I had just had Connor!

We had such a good time. I got to go to the Spring Concert, which my two nieces Tayler and Cambree are now apart of. That was really fun. Being in the auditorium (of my Junior High) made me so excited! It was like I was dancing again! On Saturday I met up with a childhood friend that I haven't seen for years and we went to the Alumni Luncheon. I had so much fun seeing old dance members and teachers. It brought back so many memories. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to have those dancing moments again!

Katelyn enjoyed her first airplane ride. On the way to Salt Lake, she slept the whole time. That never happens! Don't all children finally fall asleep as your taxiing to the gate? It felt nice to only be traveling with one child. Well, it was easier to only have one to drag around, but it was strange not to have the boys with me. I kept expecting them to come running around the corner. I even woke one night because I thought one was standing at my bed!

I had a wonderful trip and I am so glad that Kelly let me take this impromptu trip to Salt Lake!

These are the only two pictures that I got on my camera. I took more, but I now realize I was using my mom's camera! Oops!
