Rodeos, Bugs, and Shovels

My mom thought it would be fun to go to a rodeo this year. The kids had a great time. Here Connor is with his flag. He had a good time waving it in the air.

Connor and Carson at the rodeo. This was their first adventure at the rodeo!

These are my grandparents. My grandpa was sporting his cowboy hat which none of knew he owned! They had fun too!

Kelly's dad is helping his aunt put a gazebo together. We went over yesterday and the boys were getting in on the action. Here is Carson and Grandma and Grandpa doing some digging.

Connor and Carson were so eager to help!

Katelyn had to be buckled in this car so she would eat dirt and rocks!

Today the kids were outside looking for potato bugs. I don't even know if that is their official name, but that is what we called them when I was young. Here is Connor holding one in his hand.

Carson and Connor laying in Grandma's driveway looking for bugs.

Here is Mom and Connor just enjoying the morning. Oh ya, I got a new hairdo this week and when I got home it was like the kids didn't even know who I was. Carson says in a sad voice, "I don't like your hair painted like that. I like it black." Then Connor, "I don't recognize your hair like that, but I do recognize your shirts." It was pretty funny! They are getting adjusted now. In fact, Carson said that he wanted Aunt Ashley to paint his hair like mine.

Your hair is super cute! When I cut mine, Parker wouldn't look at me or talk to me for a day. He acted all shy, like he does with strangers...so sad.

Ha ha ha I LOVE YOUR HAIR! It looks so cute! Kids are so funny. Johnny doesn't like me without my glasses. When i don't have them on he finds them and hands them to me saying "Mommy, put your glasses back on"

It was so cool that you all went over to help my mom in her yard, diggin the big hole for the gazebo (sp)
I'm sure the boys were a great help! (smile) It was really fun seeing her back yard and the work she's been telling me about. SHe isn't very fast at adding pictures. (smile) tell Patti that she NEEDS TO UPDATE!!! I sent her all the info to get into her blog.

Love ya

I LOVE your hair. You do look different but I think it looks good. By the way, potatoe bugs is what we called them growing up too. I am excited for you to get your hubby back. You should have a camera ready for the faces of your kids when they see him. I am sure Kelly's face will be equally as excited. I know we are excited to have you back here in......opposite of heaven. : )

When I was reading your blog & saw the picture of "Mom & Connor" I thought, Man, Megan's mom looks really young, just like a blond Megan! Then I kept readying. It looks way cute! Love your kids comments. Anxious to have you back. And may I correct Tifany? Buckeye is the greatest place on earth, so it's not heaven, it gets a tad bit hot every now & then, but I've never met better people in my life!

Your hair is really cute! It will make you look really tan and summery! I love the pictures! I had to laugh about Penni's gazebo. Her projects don't ever turn out to be easy ones. Thank goodness Bill could come to the rescue!

I admire you, Megan! I have yet to take my kids to a rodeo! :) I am afraid that all the commotion and noise would scare them to death! It looks like you had a lot of fun...

And...when I chopped my hair (it got pretty long) my kids just stared at me...They didn't even know what to say! : ): ) It's so funny how our kids actually do notice how we look as moms! I love your hair color!
